Lambo Doors

Lambo doors, also known as scissor doors, and jackknife doors are doors that open up and down instead of the standard out and in. Originally invented for the Alfa Romeo Carabo, the famous doors are now most commonly seen on Lamborghinis. Lamborghini originally used the door on the Countach, but then moved on to the Diablo, and eventually the Murcielago.
  

After growing in popularity, 3rd party scissor doors have been in production for less exotic cars. Typically these mods have to open slightly outward and then upward to avoid the door’s frame, and A-pillar. Eventually scissor doors that could be opened both outward and upward hit the market. The price for a scissor door kit is usually a modest $1,500-$3,000 depending on the type of vehicle.
