Shelby Mustang Review
The Shelby Mustang made its first appearance in 1965. When first made not even half of them had pin stripes applied by the factory. In modern times of course this has all changed, and the pin stripe has been accepted. As soon as 1967 the design of the Shelby changed significantly. It became the first American car to boast a stock roll bar. At this time Ford was experimenting with a convertible, however before the idea was implemented it was cancelled. The 1967 Shelby Mustang was given significant popularity when it was used in Gone in 60 Seconds. The car Nicholas Cage used was actually a GT500 look a like. Modern Shelby Mustangs have amazing power. The 2008 Shelby GT500KR which was unveiled in 2007 has a massive 540 horse power engine.
The 2008’s sister car; the GT500 can reach speeds of 155 MPH (governed), and do 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. The factory stripe is stock, and the car comes in more colors than the previously all white earlier models.
