Supercharger Kit

Superchargers and turbochargers are very similar. However, there is one main difference between them; where they get their power from. A turbocharger gets its energy to run from exhaust. It’s basically recycling otherwise useless energy. A supercharger kit has its own source of power, which is the vehicles engine. With a supercharger kit, there is a belt that will directly connect it to the engine. If you need an example of how this works, think about the water pump. The way they obtain their power is nearly identical. A supercharger will be more efficient at compressing the air at lower and higher RPMs, thus providing you with a more powerful experience. A turbocharger has trouble providing the compression at lower RPMs, and works best with higher RPMs.Supercharger KitSince the supercharger is using power directly from the engine, it can use as much as 20% of the engines power. Despite the power it uses, it generates more power than the turbocharger. Most racing fanatics find that it’s worth it, and the power gain is significant than that of the turbocharger. A huge downside for supercharges is difficulty of installation. A turbocharger is much easier to install, since it just bolts on to the exhaust manifold. Like turbochargers, superchargers run better on higher octane gases. A gas with higher octane is less likely to combust prematurely, which will prevent knocking.
